Knee Injury

Advice

After care advice is extremely important. According to my father, in most cases you would need to rest the affected area for at least three days. This means that no strenuous activity should take place within this time period to give the body time to heal.

Its normal
You may experience some discomfort within these three days, due to the flesh being massaged. This can vary from client to client, some experiencing discomfort and others not. This is a part of the healing process.

Eat and Drink
You should drink more water which will help the muscles to work more efficiently. You should also include protein in your diet (meat, fish, nuts, etc) to help with muscle repair. The amount of tea and coffee consumed should be cut down to a minimum.

Treatment
Everybody heals differently so some clients may only need the one treatment whereas others may need a few treatments to help the affected area. It is recommended that every client concurrently works with their Primary caregiver.
